Mic Microphone
i have a new laptop and a built in microphone. but my mic one day stopped working. how can i get my mic back?
i have just got a new laptop with a built in microphone but it has suddenly stopped working and it is not showing up on recording on anything how do i get it back?? please help i have to do coursework with it.
did you check the settings?
START
CONTROL PANEL
SOUNDS AND AUDIO DEVICES (may need to switch to classic view)
Select the AUDIO tab and look to see if you are able to drop to the DEFAULT DEVICE for “SOUND RECORDING”
Hit apply… if it did show up there and still no sound
goto the VOLUME tab and select ADVANCED button for “DEVICE VOLUME”
You will get a pop up select OPTIONS – PROPERTIES
in the drop down menu select “MIC VOLUME” hit ok
you will see it added to your master volume.. make sure the mute is not checked off (that is what I think your problem may be)
