How can I install MAC OS Tiger 10.4 on a Intell Dual-Core PC, 1 GB RAM with Pre-installed windows XP SP2.?
Hi All… I am having a Intel PC with Dual-Core (2.8) Processor, 1 GB RAM and 80 GB HDD. I am having Winodws XP SP2 installed on this PC. Now I want to use MAC OS Tiger 10.4 on this machine. Is it possible to install a MAC OS on a standalone PC with the above specifications. If Yes, How can i be able to do this…Pls help !!
Hate to tell you this but you can’t run OS X that way … you can run Windows on a Macintosh because of BootCamp, but you can’t do it vice versa (Run OS X on a PC).
Apple makes their software so it will only work on their own hardware … they’re proprietary like that …

Turban8er … I think you’re missing one very huge piece of the picture … BootCamp only works on Macintosh built Intel chips. It does not good to download BootCamp on a PC system … it won’t work. It’s made for Macintosh Intel computers, not PC Intel Computers. Furthermore, BootCamp won’t even work unless you already have OS X running on your computer.
What you are describing is impossible … it would be like saying you could load OS X on your car’s onboard computer just because it’s a PowerPC chip. It doesn’t work that way.
OS X is built to recognize only Apple built systems … even if you simulate it with PC parts it won’t work … it will recognize that it is not an authorized Macintosh computer. Apple is really hardcore about this kind of stuff. They’re proprietary like a mofo …
