if you have dvr can you get the things you recorded off of the dvr system?
If you have a Tivo or DirecTV Tivo then it is easy to connect them to your home network so you can access it via your PC for transfering the shows/movies to the PC, allow MutliRoom Viewing, and Home Media Option. If you have another DVR it is more difficult to do this. But to transfer movies to your PC can be pretty easy but time consuming. Purchase a TV Tuner Capture Card for your PC or Laptop as these ENDED Ebay Auctions types.

Coonect the DVR outputs to the TV Tuner capture card, Play the DVR, Record on the Software for the Tuner capture card, Edit the shows, Record to DVD.
