a) Summer Infant Day & Night Handheld Color Video Monitor, 1.8″ Screen
This one has a 1.8-inch screen that allows you to see your little precious sleeping in her cot in full color during the day, and in black-and-white in the night. Two power options are available– rechargeable battery or A/C. This provides you the freedom to roam around in the house and still keep your baby in your sight. Operation of this device is quick and easy.
Many parents who have used this baby video monitor agreed that its reception is crystal clear, unless there is some interference nearby, such as a cordless phone that has the same frequency as the device (900 mHz). Other appliances, such as refrigerator, laptops and fax machines, don’t seem to give rise to such problem. One drawback mentioned by users is that at night the device does pick up background noises and that wakes them up. However, this can usually be adjusted by repositioning the device.

b) Summer Infant Deluxe Day & Night Handheld Color Video Monitor, 2.5″ Screen
This model has similar basic features with the previous one, but moms can now keep track of their baby movements through a larger, 2.5-inch screen. In general, it provides satisfactory video output and excellent sound reception. Although it’s slightly bigger in size, it’s still very portable and convenient to use.
Similarly, the color video only works when the room is bright. For night viewing, the video is black and white. There are also some interference issues, but it usually just takes some repositioning to resolve the problem. This model is slightly pricier than the previous one.
c) Summer Infant Day & Night Baby Video Monitor with 5″ Screen
This affordable black-and-white only video monitor are for moms who prefer to see and hear their baby day and night on a bigger 5” screen. It’s not as portable as the handheld monitors, but because the device could be battery operated, mom can still take it along to another area of the house, such as when cooking in the kitchen, and still be able to see her baby clearly. If you want an affordable product with satisfactory quality and is durable, this is the one to go for.
