How I can get my combo box to work on my laptop with Vista?
Hi all I recently had a broken computer and have carried out hard drive and brought a box to jump USB and download photos, music information in my laptop (vaio with Vista) here is the IVE include http://www.kenable.co.uk/product_info.php brought ? products_id = 1276. I can not seem tp get it to work tho as when I click on the installation disk (on my comp) that comes with the drive that says "The driver is for Windows 98" Why is this and how can I get all my information from the hard drive on my laptop …: Please? help anyone o) Thanks! well litrally a USB 2 and then 3 and then my computer on the device? vv my knowlage competition is basic and so can you tell me exactly what to do pls: thanks o) when i plug in USB now says G: / is not acsessable The request can not be made due to an error of E / # What does this mean? please help
Thanks for the link. That helped a lot. Ignore the CD with the drivers and connect the USB cable XP/Vista/7 system. USB drives come with all the information the drivers built into the hardware itself, as long as you have an XP or later system. Only need the driver software off the CD if using an old (98/ME) version of Windows. EDIT. Close is not connected to the PC or any source of power, put the unit in the cabinet. Make sure the switch connection and is set correctly to IDE (the unit uses all the old ribbon cable) or (narrow, usually red or orange) Connect the SATA cable external power supply to the USB box and then connect the USB cable into the enclosure and the PC. Next, you should recognize the device. If you do not recognize the drive, you may be hurt the unit.
