What setting should I have my camera on at a concert?
I’m going to a Black Eyed Peas & Ludacris concert tonight. It’s in the Tacoma Dome & I am in th standing area in the front. I have a Nikon COOLPIX L20. Should I have the flash on? Should I just leave it on auto? Or, Should I not even bring my camera at all?
A flash is generally good for less than 20 feet; it’s useless at a concert so disable it if you can. A potential bad side effect if the flash is left to operate, is that the exposure may adjust to the brightly lit back of someone just in front of you. You want the widest apeture (lowest f stop) and auto exposure. Carefull focus is very important at low f stops, however, unless your closer than than 20 feet, just set it on infinity.
